Ella Riegel Fessler

September 12, 1925 — August 15, 2018

Ella Riegel Fessler born in Trenton, NJ passed away peacefully on 8/15/2018. She was a resident at Brandywine Senior Living Center in Pennington.
Ella was predeceased by her high school sweetheart, best friend and husband of 59 years, Dr. A. James Fessler, Jr; her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Riegel Sr. (founder of Riegel Printing Company); her daughter, Jo Ann Fessler; and her brother, Oscar Riegel Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Adrienne Fessler Belli and son-in-law John Peter Belli Jr. and their children John Peter III and Andrew James; and her son Dr. A. James Fessler, III and daughter-in-law Paula Snyders Fessler and their children Albert James IV, Michael Paul and Ella Marie; her brother Ken Riegel; her sister, Lynne Danberry; her sister-in-law, Lillian Fessler; many nieces and nephews and good friends.
Ella was a member of the Oaklands Country Club, First Presbyterian Church of Ewing, the Trenton Club, The New Jersey State Museum and Greenfingers Garden Club. She volunteered with the Doctors Wives Association at McKinley Hospital, the Helene Fuld Woman’s Auxiliary and the Woman’s Service Board at St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center.
She was an avid tennis player, golfer and bridge player. She also enjoyed traveling with her family.
Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours according to Ella’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pennington First Aid Squad or the Inpatient Compassionate Care Hospice at RWJ-Hamilton.
