Edith Johnson, nee Thompson, passed away, Thursday, August 22, 2019. Edith was born July 29, 1916, at home in Titusville, NJ. Edith graduated from Hart's Corner School, Hopewell Township, and resided in Pennington and Titusville her entire life where she was a child care giver for scores of children over many decades.
Edith married Fred Mason from Lynchburg, VA, in 1941. Fred passed away in 1976 and Edith married Arthur Johnson from Titusville, NJ, in 1984.who passed away in 1991. Edith is survived by her children, Shirley, Virginia, Fred, Carolyn and Lawrence, 2 sisters, Francis and Eleanor, a brother, Jesse, 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, 1 son in law, 2 daughters in law, Dave and Carol by her marriage to Arthur, and many who chose her for a Mom.. Edith was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Edith Thompson, 6 brothers, 7 sisters and 1 son in law.
Edith was a kind, loving, supportive, God loving woman; always available for anyone and will be dearly missed. No services will be held and graveside observance will be announced later. Memorial contributions can be made to Pennington Fire Dept., Pennington Rescue Squad. Titusville Fire Dept. or Titusville Rescue Squad. Arrangements are by Blackwell Memorial Home,Pennington.
