Obituary for Jean G Sabo

Surrounded by her loving family, Jean G Sabo age 93 entered into God’s loving care on January 26, 2021

Jean was born on September 13, 1927 to Judith and Samuel Guidotti of Trenton. She spent her adult life with her husband and children in Lawrenceville NJ.

Jean graduated from Villa Victoria Academy with honors. As a soloist in their annual concert at the War Memorial Building, her love of music and her beautiful voice earned her a medal for her fine performances. She also attended Rider University.

Throughout Jean’s life she worked as researcher for a law firm and was employed by the International Brotherhood of Teamster’s Local #35 for 10 years as the Administrator of the Pension Fund. But her most important position was Mom to her three children.

For over 50 years she was a member of The Church of Saint Ann in Lawrenceville NJ. As a member of the Altar Rosary Society, she was on several committees including providing meals for the less fortunate. She was also very active with the Lawrenceville Schools PTA’s.

Predeceased by her parents Samuel F. and Judith (Cardelia) Guidotti, her in laws Stephen P and Margaret (Szakacs) Sabo, her loving and devoted husband Stephen J Sabo, her brother Emilio (Mal) Guidotti, her sister J Veronica (Ronnie) Guidotti, her sister Jacqueline T and John M Donovan, her sister-in-law Evelyn (Sabo) and John (Jack) Stephan, and her precious grandson Andrew Oswald III.

She is survived by her sisters Theresa G Guidotti, and Saundra M and her husband Winston C Winslade, and her sister-in-law Margaret (Peggy) Guidotti, who was her very good friend. She is also survived by her children and their spouses, Cynthia and Paul Passolino, Stephanie and Andrew Oswald Jr and her son Stephen and Alison Sabo. Also surviving are her grandchildren Jessica L Talar, Lisa M and Michael Wilkinson, Mae Passolino, David and Claudia Salvatore, and her great grandchildren, Aiden Michael Wilkinson and Riley Isabella Wilkinson. Sharing their great love for Aunt Jean she is survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Jean had many hobbies including reading, doing crossword puzzles, knitting, cooking, and baking. Her favorite places to vacation with her family were Long Beach Island NJ, and The Outer Banks of NC where she had many cherished memories.

Jean loved her precious family unconditionally. She advised them to use common sense and instinct when faced with a challenge. She taught them unconditional love, mutual respect, and the best Bolognese recipe ever.

Jean was a devoted and wonderful Mother, Grandmother (Nana), and Great Grandmother (GiGi). She was the heart and soul of her family and as her children said “she was the glue that held them together.

A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am, Saturday January 30, at Saint Ann’s Church, Lawrenceville NJ. The Mass will be live streamed online at
