Leroy (Lee) Robert Hill, 85, of Newtown, PA, passed away at home on February 11.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a former resident of Ewing and Pennington, NJ. After graduation from Central High School in Pennington, he served in the US Marine Corps, then attended Rider University and University of Nebraska at Omaha. He was also an honorary member of Princeton University’s Class of 1986.
He was president of The Hill House restaurant in Pennington from 1954-1969. Subsequently, he retired from Princeton University after 25 years, 19 of which he was Director of the Building Services Dept. Most recently, he was a member of the Doylestown Presbyterian Church.
Son of the late Leroy and Mary Hill, he is survived by his son Wesley D. Hill and his wife Julie of Denver, CO, and daughter Donna Hill Krupa of Bordentown, NJ, and three grandchildren, Samuel R. and Sofie Leigh Hill and Camille Lee Krupa. He is also survived by his long-time companion Marion Atkinson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 15 at 11 AM at Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington followed by a burial at the Old School Baptist Cemetery, W. Broad St., Hopewell.
Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Sunday, February 14 from 6 to 8 PM and Monday, February 15 from 10 to 11 AM.
