Pearl S. Reilly

Gladys Pearl Stallings Reilly, age 90, of Pennington, NJ died November 25th in Lawrenceville, NJ. Born on June 2nd, 1924 in Sussex County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Annie May (Rideout) Stallings. She lived in the Disputanta, VA area until her marriage, when she moved to Phillipsburg, NJ. In 2008 she moved to her daughter and son-in-law's home in Pennington NJ. Pearl was a graduate of Carson High School in Carson, VA. During World War II, she proudly worked as a lab technician at Camp Lee Military Reservation in Prince George County, VA, where she met her husband Frank. Prior to her retirement Pearl worked for OPT Industries in Phillipsburg, NJ. Pearl was a long-time active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg and most recently, she was a member of the Pennington United Methodist Church in Pennington, NJ. Her husband of 46 years, Frank T. Reilly Sr, predeceased her in 1993. Pearl was also predeceased by her brothers Walter (Bonnie), Vaiden, Everett, Woodrow, and Arthur Stallings, and her sisters Ruth Wells and Fannie Riley. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Frank T. Jr and Nancy Reilly, Donald and Elizabeth Reilly, Walter and Colleen Reilly, and Joseph and Terry Reilly; one daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Thomas Callahan; nine grandchildren, Ann-Marie and husband Steven Karch, Jennie-Rabecca Reilly, Elizabeth Reilly-Hodes and husband Phillip Hodes, Christopher and wife Megan Reilly, Katie Reilly, Kelly Reilly, JoLynn Reilly, Sarah Reilly and Nicholas Reilly; five great grandchildren, Emma and John Karch, Zachary and Katherine Hodes, and Caleb Reilly. In addition, she is survived by several nieces, nephews and their families. The family extends its appreciation to her wonderful caregivers at the Lawrenceville Nursing and Rehabilitative Center and VITAS Healthcare Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of Blackwell Memorial Home, Pennington, NJ. Visitation will be held at the Pennington United Methodist Church, 60 South Main Street, Pennington, NJ 08534, on Saturday December 6th at 12:00 with the funeral service immediately following at 1:00. Interment will be in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, 19312 Templeton Road, Carson, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pearl's name to the Pennington United Methodist Church, 60 South Main Street, Pennington, NJ 08534
