Robert Elmer Hunt, 82, peacefully joined his wife Sylvia in heaven on November 15, 2018.

Residents of Hopewell Township for 57 years, Bob and Sylvia moved to Twining Village in Holland, PA in August 2017 before Sylvia's passing in December 2017.

He was an avid sports fan and could always be found watching college or professional games on TV, favoring the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies and New York Yankees.

Bob played both baseball and basketball in his younger days and turned down an opportunity to play professionally for the Boston Red Sox. He spent many years playing in various softball leagues. He umpired recreational softball, refereed high school and recreational basketball and was also a swimming official. In 2005, he was inducted into the Trenton Softball Club Hall of Fame honoring his work as a softball umpire.

He was a faithful member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Pennington, NJ for over 50 years serving on a multitude of committees during his years there.
