Roland G. Rahn

Roland (Rollie) G. Rahn passed away on October 13, 2015 at Capital Health Medical Center in Hopewell, NJ. He was born in St. Paul, MN February 25, 1944 and resided in Ewing, NJ for the past 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Ella Rahn. He is survived by his wife Loreen (Lori) Rahn of 50 years and daughters Renae Rahn of Browns Mills, NJ and Natalie Rahn of Minneapolis, MN. Rollie's siblings are Delbert Rahn and Marilyn Barnes. Rollie was employed by JC Penney's as a Personnel Manager and Direct Mail Marketer for 18 years. He also worked for Meredith Corporation Better Homes and Gardens, AON, HSBC and several companies as a Direct Mail and Telemarketer and consultant. He was President of RGR Marketing Consulting Company for several years. Rollie was an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Church at Washington Crossing welcoming all with his smiles and hugs. He volunteered with UUCWC's Food Ministry Program helping to prepare and serve hundreds of meals per month for various organizations - especially The HomeFront Program. He was also an avid wood worker. The trivets he made with his scroll saw grace many a table and the ornaments he made adorn many homes during the holidays. After his retirement in 2010 he took on his true calling as Santa Claus for the Kerris Tree Farm in Allentown, NJ and for the Home Front Holiday Celebration. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3pm on Sunday October 25, 2015 at The Unitarian Universalist Church at Washington Crossing (UUCWC), 268 Washington Crossing-Pennington Rd., Titusville, NJ 08560. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UUCWC (memo-Food Ministry).
