Carol E Meszaros

June 1, 1934 — December 13, 2020

Carol Meszaros, 86, died on December 13, 2020, with her loving
family by her side in Pennington, New Jersey.

Carol was born on June 1, 1934, in Trenton, New Jersey, the
daughter of the late Edith and Wilbur Stout. She is survived by her
husband and best friend, Robert, her son Steven R., Sr. and her
grandson, Steven R., Jr. (Sonny). She is also survived by her sisters
Sonia Force, Jocelyn Sickels, Nancy (Gary) Zwick, and Penelope
Branham, a brother Nils (Edna) Stout and many nieces and
nephews.
Carol worked for many years as a legal secretary. In 1978, she
earned her associate degree in Paralegal Studies from MCCC. She
then continued her successful career as a paralegal for several law
firms in Mercer County and earned recognition as Paralegal of the
Year.

Carol was very active in her community. She was an amazing
historian who, along with her husband, Bob, gave many Titusville
and local area historical presentations to community groups.
Together, they were active members of the Hopewell Valley
Historical Society, the Friends of the Howell Farm and WC4
(Washington Crossing Card Collector Club). Along with her sister
Sonia, Carol co-founded the Central Jersey Buttoniers, an
organization for button collectors and admirers. She was an avid
collector of buttons and viewed each one as a miniature work of art.

A memorial service was held on December 18, 2020, at Blackwell
Memorial Home. She was subsequently laid to rest at Harbourton
Cemetery.
