Catherine Tenore, 89 years, passed away at home in the company of her daughters on January 16, 2021.
Catherine was born in Newark, NJ and attended West Side High School. She continued her education at St. Barnabas School of Nursing, graduating in 1952. She spent the next 40+ years at St. Barnabas Medical Center helping others. She enjoyed a long life with a large family and many friends, pursuing various interests along the way. She will be missed by all those privileged to have known her.
Catherine is survived by: her daughters, Marianne, Lisa, and Joanne; her son-in-law, Erwin Reijgers; her grandchildren, Alexandra, Catherine, Christopher, and Cassandra; her sister, Domenica Opalewski, her brother-in-laws Gino Basile and Louis Tenore, and sister-in-law, Lynn Tenore. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Catherine was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard Tenore and family members, Sebastian & Angela Italiano, Lorenza Basile, Michael, Ruth, & Paul Tenore, and Mafalda & Vincent Sarrecchia.
She will be interned at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ on January 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
