Charles P. Miller

December 31, 1938 — November 10, 2019

Charles P. Miller, 80, of Washington, NC passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, with his family by his side.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was a longtime resident of Hopewell and more recently North Carolina. Charles was a lineman for JCP &L , retired from General Motors as a tool and die maker, and owner of Pennington Jewelers from 1983-1994 with his wife.

Charles loved spending time on the water, fishing, crabbing and boating with his kids and grandkids, along with birdwatching and building birdhouses. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, gardening, playing pickleball, and watching sports. He always had a treat in his pocket for a beloved dog.

Charles had a zest for life and was willing to try anything. He always wanted to take you out to eat, or go grab a milkshake. He definitely did things "his way."
