Debra Ann Karabulut

Debra Ann Karabulut (née Stockman) passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7th, 2026 surrounded by her children.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she moved to New Jersey following her marriage to her loving and devoted husband Dr. Nigahus Karabulut. They were married for 35 years before he passed away in 2021. Debra is also predeceased by her loving parents Mr. August and Mrs. Anna Stockman of Baltimore, Maryland.

Debra is survived by her four children and their families; John D. Eltringham, III and his wife Amy, Melissa D. Karabulut, Sarah M. Caramiello and her husband Anthony, and Aram D. Karabulut. Her devoted grandchildren will miss her terribly; John (Jay) and his wife Kimberly; Allison; Sofia; Lilly, Dorothea and Isabel, as well as her beautiful great-grandchildren; Johnny, Hank and Louise. She will be forever remembered by her sister-in-law Lusin Karabulut and her brother August Stockman and his wife Kathy, as well as nieces and her late nephew; Joseph. Debra will be missed by her extended family and friends from her hometown of Baltimore, MD, and from her home for the last 35 years; Pennington, New Jersey.

Debra was an avid music lover, she frequented concerts in her down time, keeping her spirit young. She loved her dogs and missed them dearly; especially her dog Monty who passed away in 2025. She rescued her dog Foxy from a kill shelter who is now in the devoted care of Lusin. Foxy will miss her cuddle time & watching Gunsmoke and NCIS together.

Debra had a wicked sense of humor and a work ethic unmatched. She worked as a dental assistant in Baltimore. After moving to New Jersey, she worked as a cosmetologist. She was a great friend and someone you could count on. She set the examples for the sacrifices a wife, mother and daughter would make in their lifetime. Never accepting less than what she believed was possible. She was the most kind and generous person; making everyone around her instantly feel at ease. She was always up for a quick or long chat. She was our champion and our greatest asset in this life and sure to be in the next.

Her fighting spirit and generosity will never be forgotten as we move through this untimely passing. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Rest easy Mom. We will always love you.
