Elaine J Kampfer

Elaine J. Kampfer (Brosen), 97, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, at Pennswood Village in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Born on September 24, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York, to Evelyn and Daniel Brosen, Elaine led a long and fulfilling life devoted to education, family, and personal growth.

Elaine earned two master's degrees and numerous professional certifications, dedicating her career to serving as an educator and learning disabilities specialist. She spent most of her life in the Pennington, New Jersey, area, where she raised her family and built lasting connections. She instilled her passion for education in her three children and four grandchildren and was a pivotal figure in their successes and accomplishments.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Kampfer, and is survived by her children James (Sharon), Valerie (Greg) Howe, and Roy; and her grandchildren Lauren (Matthew) Bischoff, David (Alexandra) Howe, Mark Kampfer, and Victoria (Ryan) Kampfer York.

Known for her quick wit and humor, Elaine was an avid tennis player and golfer, as well as a sharp and strategic bridge player. She also served as President of the Pennington Women's Club for many years.

A private interment will be held at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any donations be made to the Pennington First Aid Squad at 110 Broemel Place, Pennington, New Jersey 08534.
