Joan Ellen Alpaugh

Joan Ellen Alpaugh of Buckingham, Pa, passed away suddenly at home on Monday October 16, 2023.  Joan was 85 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Waker.   Joan was the loving wife to Tom for 65 years after they eloped on Valentines day in 1958.   They were committed to each other their entire lives and loved each other unconditionally.
  
Joan was born in Trenton NJ, and resided in Buckingham, Pa for more than 20 years.  Joan was a graduate from Hamilton High School class of 1955, where she was secretary to the Dean of Girls and to the Principal.  She was employed by NJM Insurance Group for over 30 years and was loved by all that knew her there.  
 
She was an assistant brownie leader and hospital volunteer.   Joan had a passion for collecting Lennox and Global dolls, Shirley Temple and Lady Diana were her favorites.  She enjoyed crafts, traveling, and shopping.  She loved spending time with her family especially her granddaughters.    Joan is survived by her sister Virgina (Ginny) Wirth and her two great nieces. Joan is predeceased in death by her brother Dr Charles Walker, Jr. and survived by his wife Karen. She also is predeceased by her brother-in-law Joseph Wirth and nephew Joseph Wirth, Jr.    Joan is survived by her loving and devoted son Robert Alpaugh / Karen (Bray), her granddaughters Meghan /Connor Kubitsky, and Marissa Alpaugh, along with two great granddaughters, Brynn and Avery Kubitsky.
 
Private services will be held for immediate family and donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
