John P. Kukon, 85, of Pennington, New Jersey entered into his eternal rest on Monday, March 18, 2024. John is predeceased by his parents John and Anna Kukon of Fords, New Jersey. He is survived by his loving wife Helen Kukon of 58 years, his sons John Kukon and James Kukon and his wife Vincenza Kukon. He is survived by his grandchildren Jaclyn, Danielle, Gabriella and John Luca.
After graduating high school, John attended the Academy of Aeronautics at LaGuardia Airport where he earned his A & E license. He then continued on to Brooklyn Poly-Tech where he finished an Aeronautical Engineer degree during which time he worked for Princeton University developing several types of experimental aircraft for the Navy. Once he retired from the University, he took a job working for RCA Astro in East Windsor. He completed his professional career as a senior systems engineer from Lockheed Martin. He spent the better part of his retirement doing what he loved to do which was building and flying model airplanes. John was also a member of the Washington Crossing Radio Control Flyers Association where he spent many hours sharing his vast knowledge of building and flying model airplanes of all types.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, March 23rd at 9:00AM for a viewing which will be held at Saint James Roman Catholic Church, 115 E. Delaware Avenue in Pennington, NJ followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM. Burial will take place on Monday, March 25th at 11:30 at Resurrection Cemetery, 899 East Lincoln Avenue in Piscataway, NJ. Funeral services are provided by Blackwell funeral home in Pennington NJ. 609-737-2900.
