Josephine "Joy" McDonough, 88, of Lawrenceville NJ passed away peacefully in her home on June 6th 2022, surrounded by her family.
Born in Wilmington DE, Joy moved to Pennington NJ in 1972 where she raised a family with her husband Tom, and in 1996 they moved to Lawrenceville NJ to live in retirement together.
She attended Ursuline Academy through high school graduation, received her RN from Thomas Jefferson University before working as a nurse and after raising her 2 children, worked for Henderson as a real estate agent.
Joy was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who was always interested in the activities of her family and was devoted to their happiness.
Wife of the late Thomas B. McDonough and sister of the late Patricia Martin, Joy is survived by her daughter Sharon Ellison of Holland PA and her son Thomas McDonough Jr. of Paoli PA.
Joy has 5 grandchildren, Marley and Jake McDonough and Hadley, Rowan and Avery Ellison.
A private service will be held by the family.
