Marian Geipel Cervone

December 20, 1932 — November 21, 2019

Marian Geipel Cervone, 86 passed peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 21. Marian was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of Martin and Elise Geipel, longtime residents of Pennington. She graduated from Hopewell Valley Central High School in 1950, and
then attended Syracuse University where she earned her BFA in 1954. Marian became an honorary member of Princeton University’s class of 1955 for her dedication and hard work for the class reunions.

Marian enjoyed life and had many talents. She was a well-traveled gourmet cook specializing in German and Italian cuisine. Marian was a prolific artist and her paintings adorned her home and the homes of family and friends. Marian had a green-thumb and her perennial gardens were the envy of the Central New Jersey. In her spare time, Marian maintained a successful career in real estate.

Marian was predeceased by her husband, Edmund V. Cervone. She is survived by four children, Beth Hawkey of Ewing, Bill Hawkey and his wife, Karen of Pennington, Edmund Cervone of Norway, Maine and Jennifer Lane and husband Steve of Denver, Colorado. Marian was blessed with five loving grandchildren, Billy, Steven, Ellie, Heidi,
and Heath.

There will be visiting hours for friends and family on Tuesday, November 26 from 5:30-7:30PM at the Blackwell Funeral Home on Main St. Pennington.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marian’s name to The Pennington School.
