She was born in Trenton, NJ, on Nov. 6, 1933, daughter of the late Doris W. (Worthington) and Charles E. Hawk. Marlene worked for the department of transportation as a secretary. She married her late husband, Joseph T. Mincher, on May 4, 1957, and they had two children. Once her children went to school, she worked for Mercer Mutual Insurance Company in Pennington, and retired from the Pennington Prep School. Throughout her life, Marlene played a significant role at the Pennington United Methodist Church. She was a longtime member and past president of the Pennington Women's Club. Her favorite activities were bird watching and learning all that she could about them, going on day trips with her dearest friends, spending time with her family, and of course, taking care of her many cats. Her friendliness and kindness to all people, and her love and devotion for animals, is a tribute to the beauty of her heart and soul. Her inspiring presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known her. She did wonderful things in life and will be remembered as a woman of God who loved and is greatly loved. Her daughter, Tracy L. Hall, and her husband, Anthony Hall, of Kendall Park; her son, Craig E. Mincher, and his wife, Michelle Mincher, of Shawnee, OK; and her three grandchildren, Abigayle, Destiny and Dania, and several nieces and nephews survive Marlene. Her sister, Audrey, and brother-in-law, Charles E. Pae, sr also predecease her. She loved her family more than anything, and it always showed. The funeral services will be held at the Pennington United Methodist Church, 60 S. Main St., Pennington, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
