Nancy Sue Calkin

Nancy Sue Calkin, 85 of Pennington passed away peacefully Sunday February 5th at Capital Health of Hopewell.

Born in New York, she was a resident of Princeton, NJ, until her family moved to Durham, NC, where she lived until her marriage in 1965. After a brief time in St. Louis, Nancy Sue and Howard settled in Pennington, NJ, where they raised their family, and after his passing she continues to reside at Brandywine Senior Living until her recent hospitalization. Nancy was retired from Hopewell Valley School District as a para professional.

Predeceased by her parents, Thomas Joseph and Margaret (Collins) Birch, her sister, Peggy Toy, and her husband Howard Linwood Calkin. She is survived by her children, Brydie Calkin, Kerry Kemo and spouse Keith and Britt Calkin and spouse Melissa; seven grandchildren, Benton Lepard, Riley Lepard, Madeleine Kemo, Michael Kemo, John Kemo, Kyler Calkin and Aislinn Calkin; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many wonderful friends.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, Feb, 13, at St. James Church, Pennington, NJ followed by burial in Pennington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Nancy Sue’s memory be made to the American Stroke Foundation.

Arrangements are under the care of Blackwell Memorial Home, Pennington.
