Robert B Johnson

Robert B. Johnson passed away on Saturday March 24th, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born on July 12th, 1917 in Irvington N.J. and moved to Pennington N.J at a very young age. He attended Hopwell Valley Schools and graduated from High School in 1935.
Together with his father, he farmed in Pennington for many years. He worked for Hopewell Valley Township Public Works as a foreman and retired in 1982. He also worked as a substitute bus driver. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Vigilant Association, the Lawrenceville Grange #170, and the Woosamansa Dance Group.
He was pre-deceased by his parents Lillie B. and James B. Johnson, brother Elwood Johnson, sister-in-law Mardella Johnson, daughter Kathleen Soltis, niece Barbara Flach, nephew Boyd Wister, and great niece Julia Johnson.
Surviving are his wife Sophie Johnson, sister Ruth Wister, daughter Geraldine Helondovitch, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday April 7t , 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Pennington United Methodist Church 60 South Main Street Pennington, N.J. 08534. Following the service friends and family are invited for a light luncheon at the church.
