Walter P Jackson

September 11, 1930 — April 3, 2019

Walter Jackson, 88, of Pennington passed away suddenly April 3, 2019. Walt grew up in Pennington and attended The Lawrenceville School. Walt then served in the Army during the Korean War. Walt had many interests. He enjoyed travelling, was an avid skier throughout his life as well as a outdoor sportsman in his younger years. He was a lifelong learner, keen reader, critical observer of current events and great conversationalist. In recent years he put these talents to use as a member of the parish callers group visiting Pennington Presbyterian Church members who were unable to attend church services.

Walt was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Evelyn Jackson of Pennington, and his sister Phyllis. He is survived by 2 nieces, 5 great nieces and nephews, and many dear cousins in Ontario, Canada.

A memorial service will be held at Pennington Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. April 27th. Funeral arrangements are by Blackwell Memorial Home.

The family appreciates Pennington Presbyterian Church congregation, particularly the members of the older adult ministry and Reverends Nancy Mikoski and David Hallgren for enriching Walt’s life through their church home these many years. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the church.
